I Chose Me: My Bariatric Surgery Journey to a New Life

Are you at that point where you’re just… done?

Done with the diets.

Done with the ups and downs.

Done with feeling uncomfortable in your own skin.

I know that place all too well. I lived there for years.

I tried it all—every diet under the sun, workout routines, meal plans, even advice from health professionals. Nothing stuck. I’d do well for a while, then something would knock me off track: stress, burnout, emotional eating. And just like that, I was back at square one—exhausted, defeated, and blaming myself.

Behind the weight was a deeper struggle. I was battling health issues and carrying the invisible weight of low self-esteem. I didn’t feel good about myself, and that showed up in every part of my life—my choices, my boundaries, even the people I allowed into my world.

Then one day, everything shifted.

I hit my aha moment—the point where enough was truly enough. I was tired of crying in silence. Tired of letting my body and mindset hold me back. It was time to choose me.

I started doing real research. I reached out to my cousin who had undergone bariatric surgery. His words stuck with me:

“You’ve got to be mentally ready and stay committed.”

That was it. I booked a consultation with a surgeon—and I never looked back.

Fast forward to today:

I’ve gone from a size 18–20 to a size 10.

But more than the size, it’s the strength I’ve gained that matters most.

My confidence is real. My mindset is powerful.

And life? It finally feels like mine again.

This journey wasn’t easy—but it was worth every step.

When you have the right support and decide to create real change, you become unstoppable. And that version of you—the strong, vibrant, empowered you—is already inside. She’s just waiting for her moment.

Let’s find your moment.

Let’s start your transformation—on your terms, in your time.

You deserve to feel good in your body, in your mind, in your life.

"Breaking Free from Narcissistic Abuse: How to Reclaim Your Power and Heal”.

Helping women who are currently experiencing or have experienced narcissistic abuse—whether in relationships, friendships, family dynamics, or co-parenting situations with narcissistic ex-partners—has been the most fulfilling aspect of my career. Having gone through narcissistic abuse myself, I’ve come to understand the bigger picture of how deeply it impacts one’s mental and emotional well-being.

Research shows that those who endure narcissistic abuse often display signs of PTSD, including flashbacks, nightmares, hypervigilance, self-doubt, a lack of trust in themselves and others, and emotional overwhelm. These symptoms are a direct result of the emotional and psychological trauma that comes with such relationships.

Narcissists come in different forms, and recognizing the red flags can be vital. You don't have to run from them, but you can learn to manage how you respond and protect yourself.

If you're in immediate danger, please prioritize your safety and leave when it's safe to do so. But in other situations, there are strategies that can help you regain control:

Grey Rock Method: Keep your responses minimal and emotionally neutral to avoid giving them fuel.

Walk Away: If possible, disengage when things escalate.

Understand Their Tactics: When they project their frustrations or accusations onto you, know that these are just tactics to provoke you into arguments or emotional reactions.

Join my workshop to discover more strategies and learn how to stay empowered in the face of narcissistic behavior. You can take control, heal, and create boundaries that protect your peace.

🌟 Embrace the Woman You Were Meant to Be

Bariatric surgery is a powerful tool, but it's not a magic wand.  The real transformation lies in addressing the emotional and psychological facets of weight loss.  Without this inner work, it's easy to revert to old habits and find oneself back at square one.

Bariatric counseling offers specialized support that delves into:

Understanding Emotional Eating Triggers: Identifying and managing the emotions that lead to unhealthy eating patterns.

Developing Healthier Coping Mechanisms: Replacing food-centric coping strategies with constructive alternatives.

Building a Positive Body Image and Self-Esteem: Fostering self-love and acceptance throughout your transformation.

Navigating Lifestyle Changes with Confidence: Equipping you with tools to adapt to new routines and challenges.

Maintaining Long-Term Weight Loss Success: Ensuring that your physical changes are sustainable and lasting.

Research indicates that individuals who engage in bariatric counseling experience improved mental health and greater adherence to weight loss programs  .
